Victory in the North End - by Mark Modi

Another World Cup Winner From Arsenal

Congratulation to Cesc for winning the World Cup. For Van Persie, better luck next time. When the final is between Spain and Netherland, we all know Arsenal will have another world cup winner. It is either Van Persie or Cesc. Honestly speaking, I hope for a Dutch win but I also happy for our little captain for lifting the World Cup.

Robin Van Persie have a disapponting World Cup for his standard. I think the World Cup final is the worst game he ever play. He just not involve or should I say that the Dutch players just don't want him to involve. He rarely have a good service like he always had at Arsenal. I really pity him. To play upfront alone is difficult enough not more to say that he just didn't get the support from the wide player and he didn't have a right services. Maybe if Bergkamp playing we might have seen a free scoring Van Persie. The dutch players all look so greedy for the headlines and poor Van Persie get all the critics for his lack of goal. But it's not his fault, he's a striker and he need good service to enable he score and he lack that service.

Congratulation to Cesc. It really heart warming to hear he dedicated the World Cup to Arsenal. Cesc yet again prove to be intrumental to the spanish team in the final. After helping Spain win Euro 2008, he again help Spain to win the World Cup. Forget about Xavi, Inieasta, Villa and Torres, the star of the game that night is Cesc and Navas. Spain never look like to score with their first eleven. They might even lose it if only Robben have scores, or if Robben fell under the challege from Puyol and Puyol red carded. But the introduction of Navas and then Cesc really have lifted the Spanish game.

Cesc found he almost score with a great run between the defender and with only goalkeeper to beat, he fail to find the net following the save from the keeper. Unlike other Spanish players, Cesc is not a divers. On how many occasion he was challege but he reamin stay on his feet. The other Spanish players, they might think they are in the swinning pool and not the football field. All they do is diving. And this poor English reff just cannot see it and keep giving the dutch yellow card. Come to Cesc again, he really show how he have develope under Arsene Wenger. He just drive the Spanish team from the middle. As a classic number 10, he really outshone the c**t call Xavi. And his passing provide the chances for Iniesta to score the winner.

With now the World Cup is over, the preseason is looming. All the world cup players will have their short holiday before they back to Arsenal camp. I just hope the World Cup didn't exausted our Cesc and Van Persie. With our first game of the season is at Anfield vs Liverpool, I just can't wait for the season to kick off now.
