Another Arsenal Win. 2-1 Win Against Blackburn

A goal at each half from Theo Walcott and Andrei Arshavin ensure a hard fought 2-1 win over Blackburn. A good revenge from a last season defeat. But how was the game goes by?

Statistically it was a Arsenal enjoying more possession. But game wise both team have a fair share to win the game but Arsenal make it through with a 2-1 win. Surprise it seems, Blackburn unable bring the physicals and aerial play much to Arsenal.

Theo Walcott goals just class. A run behind the leftback remind me of Ljungberg during his glory day. A quick pass from Robin Van Persie outside boots remind me of Dennis Bergkamp pass to Ljungberg, a combination that won Arsenal a lot of games and silverware. A pass from Van Persie found Walcott have produce the first goal. The finishing was great. Low and hard at the far post giving Robinson no chances at all. it seems Theo finishing have improve a lot from last season.

Blackburn goal just a poor goal to concede. The big question here is, where is Sagna? Kos make a good effort to try to block Samba but it just not enough to stop him from making a pass for El-Hadji Diouf ( a man Arsenal fans really love to hate).

The three points was secure by Arshavin goal. A lucky bounce from Cesc shot that hit Theo and fall kindly for him to slot the ball past Robinson from the second goal. A bit lucky but Arsenal are due of luck last season and we does need one and we got it twice already this season worth 3 points. 1 point from Liverpool and 2 from this game.

From my previous post, I expect Blackburn will test Arsenal defence capability defending set pieces and high ball. And so they does it again. the same old tactics time and time again. But this time Arsenal defence can cope with their strategies. Instead of Arsenal defender struggle, it is their striker find it hard to past our defender. Always falling with the slightest of touch and complaining for not getting the foul. Now who always cry out for fouls and being softy?

Anyway, a good win for Arsenal. I hope this game will define Arsenal season that is Arsenal are there to grab the title and bring it to Emirates for the first time. Next match will be against Bolton after a international break. How I hate international break. Already have a lot of international football this season. Finger cross, Arsenal players will come back having more match fitness and free from injuries.
